How it all started…

At about age 13, I remember walking around my backyard taking pictures of trees, flowers, and whatever else I thought looked interesting on my mom’s small digital camera. When I was in early high school, my grandparents noticed my interest in photography and gifted me their old Canon Rebel DSLR camera (circa 2000). I taught myself how to manually operate a camera and fell in love with the art of photography.

During these years, I made photography a hobby and creative outlet for myself and began photographing portraits & couples in 2018. I photographed my first solo wedding in the fall of 2020.

I graduated college in 2022 and moved to Kansas City with my husband shortly after. I started working part-time at a local coffee shop as a barista with the hope of taking a year-long break from school before beginning my master’s degree. However, my plans changed when I landed an amazing opportunity — I found my dear friend, Halle Lang! I joined the Made by Halle team as her assistant and second photographer! I love Halle and all that she is as an amazing human and PHENOMENAL photographer. She has taught me a great deal about photography in the last two years and I consider myself very lucky to have worked closely beside her.

There’s also a high chance you can find me on my couch relaxing with my husband and two cats. I met my love, Levi, during my freshman year of college and we promptly fell in love. In 2021, we got married in my parent’s backyard :') Our sweet orange girl, Honey, and our gray tuxedo boy, Pinecone, love to cause chaos together so there’s no shortage of entertainment in our house. We are so very very happy!

Most importantly, I love Jesus and am devoted to following Him. Photography has been a way for me to love and serve those around me for the glorification of Christ’s Kingdom.

I love crocheting, reading, listening to music, and dabbling in film photography! One of my favorite things to do is go thrift shopping. I love finding clothes and cool things for my house! It’s my favorite!! I also love watching tv and movies. I’m a homebody, what can I say? I love doing nothing when I have the time.

I feel extremely lucky to have photography as my job. The ability to gift someone memories they’ll look back upon for the rest of their lives is something I don’t take lightly, so I feel honored that you’ve considered me to photograph you and the ones you love the most.
